Caratteristico manufatto di ispirazione barocca risalende al XVIII secolo. In passato e ancora oggi abbelliscono le ringhiere dei balconi, spesso in sostituzione di piante e fiori per scacciare il malocchio. La forma sferica, circondata e sostenuta da tre grandi foglie, così da ricordare i boccioli dei fiori racchiusi in un calice. La loro forma richiama e ricorda anche un uovo. Da sempre collocati nella camera da letto dei giovani sposi come buon auspicio per la maternità e nella cameretta dei bambini come augurio per una vita serena.

A distinctive handcrafted object inspired by the Baroque style, dating back to the 18th century. In the past, and still today, they decorate balcony railings, often replacing plants and flowers to ward off the evil eye. Their spherical shape, surrounded and supported by three large leaves, resembles flower buds enclosed in a calyx. Their form also recalls an egg. Traditionally placed in the bedroom of newlyweds as a good omen for fertility, and in children’s rooms as a wish for a peaceful life.
Throughout its history, it has always held an auspicious value, both for those who give it and for those who receive it.
